Korum Challenge
Korum Challenge
Rewarding you for your special catches.

Here at tcf we're anglers as well, and we know how fantastic you feel when you slip the landing net under that special fish.

That's why we've teamed up with Korum in this great series in which we'll be rewarding your efforts and giving you something to remind you of the day for years to come.

The Prizes
The sender of the catch tcf deems to be the most noteworthy each month will be the Korum Challenge Angler Of The Month and along with a badge and cap will receive £300 of Korum gear and have their catch story and picture printed here and on our website. There are also two runners up prizes of £200 and £100 of Korum gear for the next best entries, also shown on this page. All three anglers will be invited to our annual Korum Fish In (see below). We will print the names of all the anglers who achieve one of the 16 Korum targets and they can look forward to receiving the relevant metallic pin badge through the post. We will also cherry-pick a number of entrants to have their catch pictures published. Each of these Gold Award winners will be sent a special Korum cap, as well as the badge.

Korum Fish In
The Korum Angler of the Month plus the two runners up each month will be invited to a special annual Korum Fish In, where they will join top anglers from the Korum team and have the chance to fish for some amazing tackle prizes at one of the top big fish waters in the land. The first Korum Fish In will take place in the autumn of 2008.

A trip to the middle reaches of the River Trent in Nottinghamshire resulted in this cracking 25lb 5oz pike for Brampton, Derbyshire-based Shane Calton. The personal-best predator fell to a legered roach deadbait.

Coventry-based James Badland fished a legered 12mm halibut pellet during a trip to Square Lane Fisheries and was rewarded with this cracking 13lb 9oz common carp. The fish is a personal best for the 14-year-old.

The final put-in of the day resulted in this super 3lb 8oz perch for Mosborough, Sheffield-based Nick Fry. The personal best fell to double pole-fished red maggot, fished eight metres out, during a trip to Kiveton Hall Farm Fisheries.

The Exeter Canal in Devon produced this fighting-fit 29lb pike for Exeter-based Graham Pym. The personal best fell to a float-fished smelt fished overdepth on the bottom of the nearside shelf.

Hereford, Herefordshire-based Kris Lee bagged this super 20lb 7oz pike during a lure session on the River Wye. The personal best fell to a 20g Fox Pro Shad worked along the bottom of the riverbed out in the middle of the river.

Darlington, County Durham-based Stephen Smith picked up this personal-best perch during a trip to his local Bishopton Pond. The 1lb 6oz stripey fell to pole-fished red maggot.

A trip to Redwell Fishery in Carnforth, Lancashire resulted in this chunky 1lb 7oz roach for Morecambe-based Mick Kayley. The personal-best fish fell to feeder tactics with red maggot hook bait.

Lou Crossan, from St Leonards on Sea, bagged this 2lb 9oz perch during a visit to a private estate lake in East Sussex. The personal-best fish was taken at dusk on float-fished maggot fished close to marginal reeds
