Jim Shelley Returns To Dynamite - 01/02/2010

Jim Shelley who is arguably one of Britain’s top carp anglers has returned to Dynamite Baits as a consultant, further strengthening the company’s Carp Team for 2010 and beyond.

Jim says: “I’ve been a consultant with Nash Tackle and Baits for the last six years, but my contract with the company came to an end in December 2009. Although a new contract was made available, I made the decision not to renew. I leave Nash on good terms and wish Kevin Nash and Gary Bayes all the very best for the future and thanks them for their valuable help”.

Jim, a previous Dynamite Baits consultant in 2003 is pleased to be back and is looking forward to trying out some of the new product range. Jim says: “At this stage of my carp fishing career I now feel that Dynamite Baits is the best placed company that will further my role as a professional carp angler with future bait development possibilities and help me with the guidance that I now seek within my carp fishing. I’m also particularly keen to further my knowledge of particle fishing and the range of particles that Dynamite produce are second to none. I’m exceptionally pleased to be back and I’m looking forward to working alongside other members of the Dynamite Carp Team, especially Terry Hearn and Nick Helleur.”

In the last 10 years Jim has established himself as a prolific catcher of carp, from a variety of different waters all over the UK. Under his previous Dynamite contract Jim caught Conningbrook’s Two Tone at a massive 61lb 4oz in June 2003 using the company’s bait range. He is also particularly renowned for his winter carp fishing captures and throughout the worst of the weather, and in the month of January 2010, has already caught several good carp to 27lb 4oz using Dynamite Bait.

Dynamite Baits Sales/Marketing director Pete Chandler commented: “I’m particularly pleased that Jim Shelley has returned to Dynamite Baits and that we as a company are able to help further Jim’s carp fishing career and offer the professional guidance that Jim now seeks. Also his vast experience and knowledge of big fish baits will prove invaluable.
I’ve known Jim for many years and have worked alongside him in the past and have been witness to some of his incredible carp captures. His ability to catch big carp from all manner of waters is a testament to the time and sheer effort that he puts into his carp fishing and I know that both Jim and Dynamite will benefit greatly with his signing throughout 2010 and beyond.”
