Tight Lines this Week... - 11/02/2010

Friday 12th February 7pm Sky Sports 4
Repeated: 11:30pm Sky Sports 4
Sat. 3am Sky Sports 4
7am Sky Sports 3

This week the focus is on carp fishing and Keith will be joined by Gary Bayes, the bait-brains behind the highly successful Nashbait brand and the first angler to catch a 60lb+ UK carp. His opinions are highly regarded throughout the carping world and he’ll be sharing those with you, as well as his culinary skills!

Keith pays a visit to Sparsholt College in Winchester to speak to carp farmer and senior lecturer Simon Scott to find out how the extreme conditions have affected carp's behaviour and feeding patterns. If you've had difficulty getting any bites this winter, this should help explain why.

Roach are one species that you can catch readily during the winter months, and to prove it we get out on the bank of the river Wye in Hereford with match angler Dave Roberts. He shows us his tactics for catching roach in the tough conditions currently being experienced on high, fast flowing rivers.

And in Fishery Focus Keith will have his weekly look at the sport available for all anglers around the UK. There'll be valuable information on the best baits and tactics to use at some typical venues for sea, fly and coarse fishing, and the conditions you're likely to face.

On Tight Lines next week Keith’s guest will be match angler Andy May. As well as a regular match winner he's also a top coach so he’s perfectly placed to pass on some great advice that’s guaranteed to help you get better results on commercial waters.

Please keep the questions, and your photos for the 'Young Angler of the Month' competition, coming in to tightlines@skysports.com
