ITM Tabletop Ruckbag
Korum has updated part of its successful luggage range, so Steve Martin puts it under the microscope.

I reviewed the original top-loading Ruckbag in the summer of 2008 and gave it the big thumbs up. It was the ideal piece of kit for the mobile angler who needed to take bait, tackle and accessories in one bag.

So what about this new version? Firstly, if you want to take a seat for the session, you are still able to attach Korum’s Accessory and Lightweight chairs in a few moments and it has all the internal and external pockets that came with the original.

The new feature is the replacement cover for the main compartment. It’s now a rigid tabletop cover that incorporates a raised lip all the way around. Once you get all the bits needed for tying up rigs and the like, the bag can then be used as a table. The raised lip ensures that nothing rolls off while you make your rigs and, once fishing, the hard top is perfect for putting that welcome cup of coffee on. Place the closed bag close to a chair and it’s just the right height, stopping you from overstretching and tipping the seat.

The Tabletop Ruckbag is also supplied with a stow-away padded cover that can be attached in a matter of seconds when it’s time to move on.
I’ve been out on the rivers with it since the start of the year and have certainly found the tabletop to be a useful addition.
